This is the stamen of a flower that I collected on my morning walk. The tree is full of these brightly coloured cerise flowers however I have no idea what it is. Will go pester the neighbour on the weekend to see if I can find out.
I love these flower trees too Pauline, I actually saw the name of it today at the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens but can't remember it.....they line areas of the Brisbane river heaps and are stunning almost orchid like looking....
It doesn't get much tighter than this! What a lovely bee's eye view!
Given your wonderful photography, I'm delighted if I've been able to photograph this area of Nova Scotia in a way that gives you the desire to come here. There's certainly no end to the photographic possibilities!
this is a really impressive macro, i love that you've chosen to focus on the stamen and have the beautiful colour of the flower still shining behind it :)
But you know me and macros.. love it
