Glistening Ink Cap Fungi growing on a fallen tree shinning in the sunlight.
Very nice capture, nicely composed. Love the lighting and textures!

Nice capture Peter.Are they edible.A lot of those fungi which we were told were poisonous are edible and not poisonous at all.

Lovely shot, I can almost see the fairies in the photo too. I wondered if they were poisonous too so I Googled it and discovered that it is edible, but poisonous if consumed with alcohol.

@peterlgrave Thanks for your comments Peter, I have a book on British Fungi and use this as reference when finding fungi and yes this type can be eaten, to be honest I would not risk picking any in the wild, as a boy used to go with my granddad picking fungi to eat:)

@dide Thank you Dianne, there is an area in my local nature reserve full of different fungi following the tree management activities, trees felled and left on the ground for this purpose:)
