1940s-Brighouse

This weekend Brighouse celebrates all things to do with 1940, big bands, tea dances, military and civilians, stalls etc, just three of the characters that put the effort in, hoped to get a shot of the Hurricane and Spitfire flypast but low cloud caused no show may get them tomorrow with a bit of luck.
Excellent triptych Peter! That dude is the spitting image of General Patton! Was Monty nearby?

@stray_shooter Thank you Ron, no sign of Monty but Winston was there to many people around him, he was indeed taking off General Geoge S. Patton even down to a Ivory grip Smith & Wesson Model 27 pistol on his right hip obscured by his right arm, I posed each image to avoid modern day objects like shop signs, litter bins and parking signs:)

I'd love to know what the chap on the right is saying! Plenty of detail in the 'uniforms'.

@quietpurplehaze Thanks for your comments Hazel as I said to Ron I posed the chaps to avoid modern items and people, I intended having all the fellow on his right in the shot but a person walked through at the back of the shot hence only his hands are visible, the question asked how many of this type of 1940's events had he attended, answer 5:)

Fabulous triptych. Such a lot of effort going on here to recreate the 1940s. I thought for a minute that the UK had been invaded.
