My Friday people this week is David he is a volunteer at Bradford Cathedral I asked what sort of work was he involved in, David explained he volunteers 3 days a week and his primary role was to meet and greet people at the main entrance and answer their questions, other than that anything that was required to help the staff carry out their work, then quick as you like he said goodbye and was off to do some photocopying.
@quietpurplehaze Thank you for your comments Haze, no fancy robe for David, he was keen to point out he was wearing the Cathedral tie he also had a photo ID around his shoulder's, possibly all he gets issue in Bradford :)
@teiko Thank you for your lovely comments Emilie, David is such a warm and welcoming individual well suited to the work, although he only works 3 days a week he has greeted me on the three separate occasions I have visited the Cathedral:)
Gosh, that really is up close and personal. What a great portrait - intimate/friendly and open.
Thank you for the narrative behind the image - it does make it more interesting.
@jorlam Thank you for your comments, where I can I like to get in close to eliminate background clutter and also so the viewer focuses on the subjects face:)
@claudiajbee Thank you for your comments Claudia, I'm relatively new to West Yorkshire and are still finding my way around searching out places and subjects to photograph:)
@simta Спасибо за ваши прекрасные комментарии, Татьяна, я становлюсь лучше спросить незнакомых людей, чтобы взять их портрет, а также иметь мужество, чтобы спросить их, чтобы стоять так, как я желаю :)
