Heavy rain all day so went off to the Bradford Industrial Museum, it has lots of wonderful photo opportunities,
Moorside textile mill now the home of the Bradford Industrial Museum,
Moorside Mill was built around 1875 as a small worsted spinning Mill by John Moore. Ownership of the mill changed many times. In 1970, Bradford Council bought Moorside Mills and created an innovative museum free for all to visit,
@louannwarren Thank you Lou Ann lots and lots to see, my second visit so took my tripod this time as its a little dark in places and flash it much to harsh:)
@onewing Thank you very much for your comment Babs, I thought I would have a quite few hours to myself walking around the museum, unfortunately two school parties of young children arrive five minutes after I did, around 80 children from 5 to 7 years old, they were involved in a project on local fabric manufacture and design, all seemed very interested, happy and noisy, but still well behaved and drawing what they found:)
Wonderful shot Peter.I find it amazing how they produce equipment now that is so much smaller & more efficient mainly achieved with the use of electronics.
@peterlgrave Thank you for your comment Peter, what is not captured in this shot is the massive belts and drive wheels that run the full length of the building to drives these machines:)
