Such a shame, what a beautiful old building.

What a lovely building. Love the style and stonework. One of my ggg grandfather's was a stone mason. No wonder he died of a strangulated hernia after lifting stones like this around.

@onewing Yes indeed Babs an occupational hazard back in the day, it would be nice to find were he left his mark its still bound to be standing:)

@photographycrazy Thank you Bill the new buildings around the centre of the village have to be constructed in stone to gain planning permission, the new appartments on the left are all simular stone:)

@pcoulson I have photos of the houses my ggg grandfather built and he built a pub too all of which are still standing. His son my gg grandfather though hasn't lasted as long. The pub he built along with the four houses next to it were demolished about 5 years ago to make way for believe it or not a car park.
