@louannwarren Thank you for your comment and fav Lou Ann, Shibden Hall dating originally from circa 1420 has had many changes, I couldn't find when the walled garden was built but its been there sometime for sure:)

@rosiekind Many thanks for your comment and fav, Rosie the Hall is constructed in stone and timber, it featured in the BBC drama "Gentleman Jack" about the noted 19th century diarist Anne Lister (1791 - 1840) who lived there:)

@quietpurplehaze You have an interesting point there Hazel people were generally smaller in days gone by, also thinking about it gardners they only only worked with hand tools that didn't take up much room, yet again it could have been used for something else, lol:)

@onewing Thank you Babs for your comment, before the BBC drama Gentleman Jack was broadcast I could go around the hall without people in my shot now I can't get my car in either of the two car parks on any day of the week, lol:)
