Front Gate

The original front gate to Fillingham Castle a castellated mansion built in 1760 by Sir Cecil Wray. now part of Fillingham farm, image composed on the rule of thirds.
Not a bad front gate entrance is it.

Such perfect symmetry, a lovely old gate. Seems so grand to just simply be a “gate”. Smile.

@louannwarren Thank you for your comment in reality its not just a gate each side of the gate there was accommodation for the gate keeper, back in the day it was his duty to keep the riff raff away form the mansion, akin to your modern security guard:)
