Inside the Hangar by pcoulson

Inside the Hangar

Visited RAF Coningsby home of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, all aircraft are airworthy and maintained by RAF personnel,
Top:- the only two flying Lancaster bombers in the world, one British and the foreground aircraft from Canada flew here for this years flying season,
Middle:- Spitfire being wheeled out the hangar for an engine run,
Bottom:- Clipped wing Spitfire with a Hurricane being worked on to the left.
Fantastic triptych and this has brought back memories of our RAF days.
My two favourite aircraft of all time are the Lancaster and Vulcan bombers.

@onewing Thanks Babs for you comments, I also love the Lancaster and Vulcan, when I lived in Waddington Village they were still based there, there is only one airworthy Vulcan its privately owned and is currently doing the airshows in the UK;)

Meant to say that I did visit the RAF Museum in (???) in London a few years back and loved that.
