You are right, I looked it up. It flows into Lake Michigan instead of toward the Mississippi River. Odd. I lived in IL for 18 years and didn't know that! LOL! Great pic of the city!
Great shot of our river! I hope your whole stay was with weather as good as it looks here! This is one of my favorite views of the river in the city. Beautifully done!
It's an engineering marvel. Before 1900, the river flowed into Lake Michigan, but since 1900, the flow of the river has been reversed and now the Chicago River begins from Lake Michigan and empties into the Mississippi River System ... @bec2702
