Oh yes. We think that we have become more adept at communicating but if someone needed our help would we be too involved to notice? We see the videos on YouTube that we chuckle at of people walking into poles or fountains while fiddling with their phones. I keep waiting to hear stories about tragic accidents that could have been prevented just because someone was self distracted by their phone.
