Just got back from a trip out east to visit Peggy's Cove - one of Nova Scotia’s iconic lighthouses and it may be the most photographed lighthouse in Canada. Located in the quaint fishing village of Peggy’s Cove it was built in 1915.

This is fantastic, Peter! Fab fav!!! Love it. I have been to Peggy's Cove too. It is a wonderful spot. Unfortunately, we received bad news that day. My family and I were on a New England cruise when we were told the news about 9-11. We went on a tour to the Titanic Museum, Peggy's Cove, monument for Swissair Flight 111 and the graves from the Titanic...kind of a day of sadness. Though we live in California, we had been visiting New York until the evening of Sept. 9th when our ship set sail. The twin towers were part of the skyline...
This is one of the best photos I've ever seen of Peggy's Cove! How wonderful that you're visiting NS, but sorry we can't be there to welcome you in Lunenburg (just yet!) I do hope you'll visit there! I look forward to seeing your photos from up there; you'll do the province justice, I know!
So cool to know you were in my backyard, well not exactly in my backyard, but a 45 min drive away. I hope you enjoyed your time here Peter. Fabulous shot! fav
@Weezilou fabulous!! Was there a piper there when you were? We had a female piper which was so fun! I do miss NS so much but my memories will never leave me!
@stownsend There has been a piper there each time; super nice if that's the memory people take home from Nova Scotia! Our Lunenburg home is across the park from a inn that hosts weddings, so many weekends we have a piper out front for the time people are arriving...and I can take advantage photographically!
