Mt. Isabel de Torres is located near Puerto Plata. This scenic mountain is home to the only aerial tramway in the Caribbean which brings visitors up 2,555 feet up to the top of the mount and offers spectacular views of the city and surrounding waters. Heavy cloud cover, rain and wind moved in while we were at the top - it was torrential and cable car service was stopped. So we were stuck at the top for over 1 hour. Photos were spectacular even though the experience was a bit frightening.

Fav. Makes your adrenalin flow so high up and hanging on a wire rope. I wouldn't miss an opportunity like this but would be very tense on the way up. It is even worse on the way down looking at all that emptiness below.
