@mbrutus - thanks M - I mostly use Adobe Photoshop for some slight adjustments, but my full frame Canon camera with a good set of lenses is really the key - equipment does make a difference :)
@pdulis Yes a good camera does make and lens does make a world of difference. In my June 22 contribution I gave an account of the trying out a new camera while photographing a hawk at a local park, where I discussed how important the camera was to the process. And I hadn't nearly mastered all the controls yet. Bit I find, it's hard to buy a truly bad lens these days. Most of them you'd have to have up on a technical bench to compare their qualities. I have lenses from at least five different companies and have taken pictures I quite like with all of them. Though some do find focus faster or true than others when photographing action like sports or birds in flight. As for your photo, keep doing whatever it is you do because the results are wonderful. And I often find myself just sitting there and admiring those colors.
