I had a meeting in town today. This is the view eastwards along the River Thames from London Bridge. The main feature is Tower Bridge, opened in 1894, and designed to allow road access across the River, whilst also allowing merchant ships to progress beyond to the old Ports of London.
To the right foreground is HMS Belfast. Now a museum ship, it saw active service with the Royal Navy from 1938 to 1963.
Thank you for your comments and Favs over the past few days - these are all very much appreciated.
