More blackberries

I walked through Borough Market this afternoon. Scene of carnage just a few weeks ago (3rd June), now back to its former self.

Some years back the Market (which has existed here since at least 1014 AD) was in danger of collapse as residents moved out of town, and market power moved to the big supermarket chains. Happily, after a campaign to save it, the market has been reinvigorated by a fresh influx of traders and trendy food establishments, along with significant development work in the local area (The Shard is just across the road!).
One of my favourite places to take photos, there always so much life and bustle. That fruit looks delicious Peter!

Went for a few days to London a few months ago and stayed near Spitalfields - loved the market there, such trendy stalls and cafes! Nice capture and so colourful.

I always find blackberries a bit of a sweet sorrow as they herald the end of the summer but so deliciously. Their colour comes through here bringing the hint of the hedgerow with then
