Market Day

It's Saturday, it's market day.

Passion fruit has to be one of the ugliest fruits on the planet, but what a heavenly taste... This shot definitely looks better on black (click the photo) to appreciate the focus and detail - it looks a bit washed out here, not sure why!

I've used the nifty-fifty lens for this, so tagged for the August nifty-fifty celebration (Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II - I couldn't justify the f/1.4).

And, many thanks for all your comments and favs over the past week whilst I have been playing with macros and water drops. I really appreciate it.

Yes, that fruit really does look unappetizing. I remember offering it to one of the children once and getting a "no way" in reply. I don't see fresh ones very often.

Tasty pic! Do you also eat a passion fruit by making a little cut in it and then sucking it empty? When lived in Kenya in the 80s 'the locals' told me that. It's one of my favorite fruits, besides mango and raspberry.
