Primary Colours 5 by peadar

Primary Colours 5

The final image of my personal mini-series featuring primary colours this week. Okay, okay, if anyone can suggest a bright primary blue fruit, readily accessible in south-east London, suggestions on the back of a £5 note please!

Many thanks to all of you who have made comments, suggestions and favs - I read everything and really appreciate them all.

Another shot also for the August celebration of the "nifty-fifty" lens (I have used a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II).

Ha, if you find a blue fruit, let me know! I love blue food :) Lovely composition. Almost making me want to put down my bar of chocolate and head for a fruit salad.......almost.....

Always such excellent focus, and not an e number in sight

@suzanne234 Suzanne, thanks. On this, I was reminded that the focus plane at very wide aperture can be extremely shallow. Initially I placed the second blueberry in line with the strawberry - roughly where the third one is now - and you can see that is out of focus. The "in-focus" plane is across the front of the strawberry, not through its middle, so I had to re-position the blueberry to what seemed like some way in front of the strawberry for it to be on the same line (if you see what I mean).

Yes, focus for a layout like this can be problematic. I like your focus on this layout

@peadar Sounds very tricky, you must have the patience of a saint, well worth your efforts though.
