Airfield Control Caravan by peadar

Airfield Control Caravan

We visited the Museum of Army Flying today. It tracks from the origins of the Royal Flying Corps in the First World War, through to modern day attack helicopter gunships. It was interesting.

Tucked away on the corner was this Karrier van conversion, which was used for Airfield Control, subordinate to the Control Tower. Apparently it became a favourite place for instructors to have a cup of tea whilst waiting for their student pilots to return from early solo flights.

This is almost SOOC. I've cropped and converted to B&W and that's about it.

Thanks for all your recent comments. All are appreciated.
It does sound an interesting place to visit. Converting to b&w has really worked in bringing out the character of this vehicle.
