This is my attempt at a minimalist image in response to Sally's Get Pushed challenge "either take a minimalistic shot or to shoot opposites. The choice is yours." I may do both (let's see).
I looked up minimalist art and, as usual, there was a fair degree of variation in the kind of images labelled as such. Many had a high key simple approach which I have tried to emulate here.
Many thanks for all your recent comments and favs. Much appreciated.
Gosh, this image seems so very sad. A lonely figure, head down with a lonely shadow. It fits with your challenge very well. Though I want to jump through the frame and give that person a hug!
I love this shot and agree with Casablanca @casablanca it does look quite sad. This is how I felt when I got up this morning. Had a splitting headache, but a couple of Panadol and a cup of tea solved the problem. Out for lunch at a friends house today so that will cheer up the day. fav
I see sorrow too - I love the way you have captured the sculpture and shadow in the composition.
My get pushed partner challenged me to minimalist images too - I look forward to seeing what we both come up with.
