Urban trails

I wanted to see if I could get light trails on my phone camera. I found a manual scene setting for "Fireworks" and used this. Here's the result, levelled, cropped and popped using the phone picture editor.

Many thanks for your recent comments.
Well I think it's a great result - would have been v chuffed to have managed this with the dslr. How did you keep the phone so steady?

@fbailey Thank you Felicity, I rested (gripped) the phone on a traffic barrier.

A very successful experiment! Phone cameras seem to be getting better and better - if you know how to use them ( I don't LOL).

That worked very well indeed - good to know that's what the fireworks setting does.

There is also an excellent app for taking long exposures and its called slow shutter. It does an amazing job.

Light trails is something I want to try, but where I live it is so quiet at night,

I like experimenting with night photos. Clever on your phone.

Didn't know you could do this with a phone! Not bad, is it? I'll go and check mine out but as mine is only a little iPhone 5S I suspect it will not be so versatile.
