Having seen so many nice shots from the Med on here recently, I am hankering after my next holiday. For the present, and as I haven't shared them previously, I will be posting a few shots of a recent trip to Greece.
Lovely shot, it brought back memories of our time in Cyprus because this village is pretty similar to Lefkara.
Lefkara village is famous for lacemaking and you very often saw old ladies making lace outside their houses in the narrow streets of the village. You did very well if you got through the whole village without being escorted into someone's house to view their wares.
@onewing Babs, thanks. I remember you saying previously about your time on Cyprus when David was in the RAF (?). Skopelos is still relatively unspoilt, and there you do find small family concerns selling local honey, olive oil and, rather exceptionally, prunes! Local Skopelan cuisine features prunes prominently - goat with prunes is a surprisingly nice combination! 😀
Nice shot
