A travelling day, and keeping me company (aptly enough) is this travelogue by Harry Bucknall - as he tramps over 1,400 miles from Canterbury to Rome, just like a pilgrim, on the ancient Via Francigena. He has many adventures en route, and plenty of "pilgrim moments", as he begins to believe he really is being watched over by his Guardian Angel. It is a very enjoyable read.
There was something on TV recently, I'm sure, with celebs walking various parts of this path. It was fascinating to watch as I'm sure this is to read. Great pov.
A great book is a best friend. With frequent travel and limited weight of luggage, I started using the e-book. I prefer paper books, but I choose an e-book when traveling. Especially that I can read even in the absence of lighting.
