Calder and Hebble Navigation by peadar

Calder and Hebble Navigation

Apologies for yet another canal shot, but I find them irresistible. After Sowerby Bridge (yesterday's shot) the Rochdale Canal joins the Calder and Hebble Navigation.

(For those not familiar with the title, "Calder" and "Hebble" are geographical, and "navigation" is really just another name for a canal.)
Great shot, loads of atmosphere.

Super light in this shot. We like canals too. The engineering, the whole idea of them. So interesting.
On our Europe trip, we visited two most amazing model railway places, I thought of you so often! You would have been in heaven.

So green, so lush, so beautiful. Beats our brown scenery. We desperately need rain but I don't think we are going to get it. It is going to be a long hot and dry summer. Bushfire season will be particularly bad this year.
