you did it! You got that left one perfectly in focus and with no glossy glare. I have been trying and trying and these flowers always turn out fuzzy and full of glare for me. I just checked out your settings. Hmm . . is it the light? Did you use a filter? In any case, nicely done!
@jyokota Junko, I had a little help from Adobe Lightroom. I used the selective editing tool to increase the clarity and contrast on the left hand flower and reduce the glare (lower highlights and light). Thanks for the comment!
@peadar -- so "selective editing" is like using "brushes" in Aperture program, it sounds like . . . thanks for the tip on lowering highlights and light to reduce glare. Always something I'm trying to figure out!
It's magical viewed large Peter, just love the gentle golden glow and your dof is perfect. Am interested to learn you 'tweaked' this in Lightroom.... I'm considering buying it after trying it out on a 30 day trial... I was impressed with what it could do! Fav here by the way!
@jackie8 Jackie - thanks for the Fav! Lightroom is astonishing. I'm still learning amazing things after over a year of use. If you wanted my view - don't hesitate. In this shot I changed the white balance to give it a more earthy, darker look. Then used the selective tool to make the left hand flower more defined. Subtle changes, but I think that's what makes the difference.
@thisisthefox Stephen, you are too kind. I think completing the 365 Project helped me see things in a slightly different way, and improved my camera techniques no end. You just have to keep challenging yourself and looking at others' work for inspiration!
Buttercups our gold..."
I can never resist them either.
