Super photograph, Peter. I agree with you about the lamp post - Photoshop's Spot Healing Brush Tool and Clone Stamp Tool would achieve the lamp's removal. There is probably similar in Photoshop Elements and other editing packages. Some homework for you!

Gorgeous wintry sunshine on the spire....... You can do that sort of editing quite easily in Ribbet too (an online editing site, dead simple and user friendly, most edits are just a click of a mouse).
Beautiful capture of the Church. The lamp post does get in the way, as you call our attention to it. Otherwise, one does not even notice it because of the beauty of the photo.
