This is All Saints Church, Footscray. There has been a christian structure on this site since the 7th century, the present church dates from the 14th century. It survived the ravages of the Reformation reasonably well. Unfortunately the church was locked when I visited yesterday so I couldn't get a shot of the interior.
This is the Lych Gate (see my shot of 11th June for an explanation) - I liked the way the avenue of yew trees lining the route to the main door threw their shadows.
