Waterloo conservation area

In the area around London Waterloo station there survive some streets originally developed between 1820 and 1840 and now designated as a Conservation area. If you have watched the TV series "Call the Midwife" you will have seen some of the area as it has been used for this and in other TV/film locations.
It's great that such areas are protected. Great composition and textures.

it's fun finding these pockets of old houses here and there - and contrasting them to the new buildings surrounding them.

It is so good that historic areas of London are to remain. I hope they do the same with Newcastle and the developers don't demolish all the history
