To ford, or not to ford... that is the question?

This picturesque Kent village takes it's name, Eynsford, from the ford over the River Darent which flows along this valley. The village dates back to c 800 AD, although the old bridge was a later 17th century addition.

Today you can see the River is almost breaching its banks, the ford impassable except for the few.
8 th century, WoW that’s old ...looks like a beautiful place

Those buildings seem to be at risk here. Pretty place none the less.

This is a beautiful shot, although I would think the locals are not very happy with the height of that water. Fav!

Looks like a beautiful village. Fingers crossed that the weather is dry for the next few days.

It's so picturesque. This scene would automatically bring a highly publicised saying into an Aussie mind - " if it's flooded, forget it". :)
