Old Books

It's time to weed out, otherwise the books are going to take over...

I always find it difficult to say goodbye to a physical book that I have enjoyed. Now we hand them on - to charity stores, some to second hand book-sellers, others to friends and family.
I know just what you mean about books. I'm so loath to part with them, it's like losing old friends. Any yet I can't resist buying more!

Love my bookshelves, so hard to part with any! The only one of these I know is Most Secret War.

It's a tough job purging the shelves of books but receiving well read and loved books is wonderful.

It's hard to say goodbye to books...
I recognize some authors: Marquez, Ferrante, Ali Smith...

The book is this true friend. Especially the last year has confirmed this. It is difficult to part with a book, so if you have to, you can only give it to good hands.

Spreading the written word, good to pass them on for someone else to enjoy :)

I can't get rid of books. Every room in our house has bookshelves in it. We are rapidly running out of walls.

I agree, books are so hard to get rid off.

I’ve been doing the exact same thing for the last year 💪

I agree with @ninaganci -- too bad we can't have a 365 book exchange program! I have donated tens of thousands of books in the past two years and still have tens of thousands more. I recognize some of yours as ones I have read once, enjoyed and passed along -- and others as ones I'd continue to want to see on my bookshelf -- but then, paperback books are meant to be read and shared, right? A good idea to chronicle what you have, artistically.
