Dartford Model Rail Exhibition. The level of detail achieved by some modellers is astonishing.
This is a "preserved railway" depot on a modern layout. Hence you have steam locos sitting alongside modern white vans and orange hi-vis jackets. It also means the operators, having chosen to model modern day diesel and electric prototypes, can "have their cake and eat it" by including random steam era locos on the basis these have been "preserved by volunteers". Ha!
My son just said "amazing how many people are obsessed with tiny trains" having seen how many attended the exhibition we were at in Essex this morning! And here you were in Dartford doing the same thing and no doubt yours was as crowded as ours! Nice model. I love the maintenance yard workers on the side there even down to the grass growth in the centre of the rough roadway. Wonderful details.
