By special request I am posting a map of the route we took during our month-long trip on the canals recently.
Starting at Lower Heyford (near Oxford), we cruised north to Napton, joining the North Oxford Canal through Braunston and Rubgy. We took the Coventry Canal into Coventry City Centre, then headed north, detouring up the Ashby Canal to Market Bosworth. Back on the Coventry Canal, we joined the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal at Tamworth, then cruised through the City on the Worcester & Birmingham Canal, then via the Stratford Canal and Grand Union Canal through Warwick and Royal Leamington Spa back to Napton, turning south down the South Oxford Canal to head back to base.
It was a wonderful trip!

Great trip! My brother is off now - Leicester, Braunston, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Birmingham, Stoke on Trent, Leek then wending his way back to Loughborough!
@peadar thank you very much! I’ve learned a lot. And I’m amazed by the length and complexity of your trip. I can only congratulate you and your wife! Fav
