Pre-Dinner Show by peggysirk

Pre-Dinner Show

Tom and I were on our way to dinner when these skater dudes rolled up to the train platform. At first they seemed a bit concerned when I pulled out my camera. After they were assured that I was just doing fun shots they all started doing their best moves for the camera lady. I took a zillion shots...so, of course I just had to do a collage. :)
Peggy, this is just fantastic! What a great collage. And good that you were able to reassure them enough to get these fabulous shots. I just love the way you've composed this with the action shots around the outside and the others lined up as though they're watching him. It's fabulous!

ps Isn't it wonderful how these opportunities present themselves when we have a camera in our hands?!

@girlie Thanks, Robin! These kids were really fun...I think they enjoyed being in the spotlight. And you are so right about being camera ready...I rarely leave the house anymore without one!

Very nice collage....I love your collages. These are really good action shots. It looks like you have some really great light out there....and very cooperative subjects.

These are great shots! Would you mind terribly if I put up some shots I took of a skate shop that opened this summer across the street from my house? I was planning on making a collage of it (great minds think alike!) but I don't have to put it on 365....

@isisweiss Thanks, Isis! It was still relatively early at that point - 5:00ish. And there are so many restaurants, shops, apartments, etc around that particular station that it's always fairly well lighted.

@pfmandeville Thanks, Pamela! Absolutely post your skater shop photos!!! I'd love to see them, as would others, I'm sure!!

sounds like a fun experience to photo the boys...for you AND them...hey, they bonded with a lady with a camera...!

@emer They were fearless, Emer!

@seattle Thanks, Constance! I have to tell you, when I saw them rolling up my first thought was 'Constance would take photos of these guys' ...
November 23rd, 2010
Ahh, haha--I'll bet! Skaters make the best subjects because they want to show you all their tailbone-breaking moves!! Cool collage (:
November 23rd, 2010
@greenpots They were actually pretty nice young guys who seemed to enjoy showing their best stuff. :)
November 23rd, 2010
@clarissajohal You've got that right! I was thankful no skaters were hurt in the taking of these photos. :)
November 23rd, 2010
@glyn That's a great thought, Glynnis. Just glad you didn't include 'speak no evil' in that line up...because these dudes had some rather earthy language! :)

Great collage! Love the looks on the boys faces in the big photo. That must've been when they saw you pull your camera out.

@katrinacristy Thanks, Katrina! I think they were a bit apprehensive when they first saw the camera. :)
