Thunder Road Marathon by peggysirk

Thunder Road Marathon

Runners from 48 states and Canada took part in the Thunder Road Marathon in Charlotte this (very frosty) morning. Mile 13, the halfway point, was in our neighborhood. Tom and I were on the corner cheering them on...I think I've almost thawed out two hours later. :)
Wow, awesome! And by the way, I love the biking Santa and the runner looking at it on the lower left. :))

This is a great collage, and I also love the biker Santa. People have such spirit during marathons!

Great collage! How cold was it?

@pfmandeville It was about 28 degrees at 8:30 when the first runners came by...it was also cloudy and windy which added to the chill factor. Made me want join the racers just long enough to warm up ~ not for the remaining 13 miles they had to go. :)
