Lunch is Served...

at the Dilworth Soup Kitchen. Today we made Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, green salad and fruit salad. A big hit with our diners.

Three Good Things:
1. An opportunity for folks to get out of the cold and enjoy a warm meal
2. Volunteers who gave up part of their MLK holiday to help serve at the soup kitchen
3. Getting my car out of a ridiculously tight parallel parking wedge after watching a YouTube 'how to' video demonstration on my phone.
Looks yummie

Ooh you are taking note of instruction! I can do that too but if I am being watched or rushed I go all to pieces & forget the instructions! I have got very odd as I've got older, I only like if possible to park in a right hand space so I turn right in the car park. I am picky who I park next to, good job I don't have to go,in the city very often! You are enjoying your soup kitchen duties I can tell...great work Peggy!

@happypat I usually have no problem with parallel parking. But the car behind me was literally on my bumper with just a few inches to spare, and I had about a 12 inches of space between the car in front. I was totally pinned in. The video on how to get out of a tight space was awesome. I thought, ‘Ok, I can do that’. And I did...an inch at a time. 🙂
