Approaching Storm

The leading edge of a thunderstorm was moving into the beautiful Yadkin Valley in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. For decades, the area was a key tobacco-growing region in North Carolina. As tobacco farming declined, some farmers and entrepreneurs turned to wine making. There are now over 30 wineries and vineyards in the valley.
Three Good Things:
1. Fantasy Football League draft is complete
2. I'm relatively pleased with the results
3. Absorbent dish towels
I love a stromy day! Nicely captured

Wine instead of tea....I like that! Lovely shot of this beautiful scenery....love the yellow tips on that crop, is it maize? Doesn’t look like a vineyard in this bit but I might easily be wrong!

@happypat You are correct, Pat. This is a cornfield. The Yadkin Valley is a diverse farming region.

Great capture of that impending storm. A very atmospheric shot.

Good picture. We are still growing some tobacco in Kentucky & smoking it. Trying to impose smoke free areas in Ky is still a real cultural hill to climb.
