Yesterday morning I was happily making my second cup of coffee when I glanced out the kitchen window to see a semi-naked guy walking up and down the sidewalk across the street while frantically texting and making calls. No shirt, pants, socks, or shoes...but thankfully he was wearing a pair of white briefs. He sat down on the wall as I was debating what I should do to help him (after snapping a quick 365 shot). Just as I was heading out the front door, a car came whipping around the corner and picked him up...good timing for all involved. I'd kind of like to know the story behind the story, but I'm fine with not knowing. :)
Three Good Things:
1. Always having your phone when you need it
2. Convenient places to sit and wait (the tree beside him is supposedly one of the oldest crepe myrtle trees in Charlotte - 100+ years old)
3. Friends/family who will come to your rescue
That is a great story & picture to wake up to. I would check to see if there is a neighbor with a big fat grin on their face or a front yard with all his belongings thrown in a pile.
Wow such a story here...I think he had got kicked out by some irate partner! How mortifying for him & how fortunate for us you caught him hiding out! Quite a shock to the system to see that but funny!
@suesmith That could be a possibility, Sue. But I’ve never seen him in the neighborhood before. I know most of our neighbors, so he didn’t lock himself out of a house close by. I’m thinking he may have been kicked out and locked out from within. At least he managed to grab his phone, if not his pants. :)
Mystery solved...nothing nefarious. According to my friend Joyce, this poor guy is the visiting brother of her next door neighbor Martin. Martin was at work when the brother somehow locked himself out of the house. Martin sent a friend over with some clothes and flip flops. The friend took the brother to meet up with Martin and get a house key. A rather uncomfortable start to the day for Martin's visiting brother. 😏
@suesmith You were right, Sue. This guy was visiting his brother from out of town when he inadvertently locked himself out. A rough day for the visitor.
