It was a gorgeous day for a walk to the grocery store. I like the look of this row of new industrial townhouses along the way.
Three Good Things:
1. Having a Whole Foods within easy walking distance.
2. Not having to drive when you just need a green pepper and a bottle of wine.
3. January sunshine
Walking to a Whole Foods would be my daily existence! I just love their buffet (do they still have it in these covid days.). Ours is in a large mall, not easy to get in and out. And down the busy road with no parking is a Trader Joe’s. I might have to move to Charlotte into one of those lovely buildings!
Very smart town houses Peggy. Lovely to walk to the local shops....the Whole foods shop sounds interesting, we have a sort of shop like that...organic etc....I love going with my ruck sack on my back & fetching the shopping back. long line into the distance!
No buffet set ups during Covid...but the deli and bakery are in full operation. If you were in one of these townhouses you'd be two blocks away from the uptown Whole Foods and not too much further from Trader Joe's. Would love to have you and Watson as neighbors...
@happypat Being able to walk to shops, restaurants, the dentist, hair salon, accountant, etc is one of the joys of urban living. I love the convenience and the sense of community. I think you'd enjoy shopping at Whole Foods. Beautiful produce, meats, seafood, bakery, wines, and more. I enjoy a good food shop.
@peggysirk So do I Peggy....everyone is so keen to food shop online these days but unless you haven’t time we love browsing the shelves in the supermarket & smaller shops. I agree about living in the community! You can get so fed up with fields after a lifetime! Nice to have them very near but not all around you as you get older.
Can’t beat a walk to the shops. I notice a handbag shop in town has reopened as a nice looking grocery. Hope they do well amongst their student community.
