Broken Supply Chain by peggysirk

Broken Supply Chain

This bare section of the grocery store generally is filled with sports drinks. I wasn't wanting to buy sports drinks, but the bare shelves caught my attention. The toilet tissue section was looking a little meager too. I read today that turkeys under 20 lbs might be hard to find for Thanksgiving. And a thousand other things, from computer chips to tennis balls, are in short supply these days.
Three Good Things:
1. Making adjustments
2. The Braves are off to a good start in the World Series with a game one win
3. Autumn temps have arrived
They have been saying turkeys in short supply here too plus there is supposed to be empty shelves in our supermarkets but I haven’t seen any. It’s interesting as all things are blamed from Brexit which wouldn’t affect you to the shortage of lorry drivers….I think it’s most likely Covid related. Every country seems to be flowing the same path. Hope you get your turkeys Peggy!

@happypat The pandemic created a perfect storm of supply chain issues with transportation, labor, and resources. It's a good time for me to start rethinking my consumption habits.
