I went to pick up a wonderful donation to our soup kitchen of thirty hams from the HoneyBaked Ham warehouse. As my SUV was being loaded up with hams, a huge flock of birds took flight from the deserted warehouse across the street. The sky was filled with hundreds of birds...I think they were starlings. These were all that were left by the time I thought to get my phone out of my pocket.
Three Good Things:
1. Incredibly generous donors to, and sponsors of, our little soup kitchen
2. The laundry detergent 'sheets' I ordered arrived today. I have some doubts that they'll work as well as liquid detergent, but I'm hopeful. The only thing left to recycle will be the small cardboard envelope they come in. No plastic involved.
3. Most of the ice/snow has melted. Just in time for a possible round two on Friday.
