Proteus

Shot with OnePlus One

This amphibian, known as Proteus (Proteus anguinus), is able to survive for 70 years.
There are different varieties, all elongated, although up to about 25 centimeters, with cylindrical body and four legs.
Its thin skin has almost no pigment, acquiring shades between white-yellow-black-pinky. It has skin covering his eyes, but do not worry, because they don't guide themselves with them, they only capture light. When they are young, they can have eyes that can be used, but after the first 4 months of life, will atrophy. For guidance, electroreceptors are responsible for picking up vibrations that occur in water, so they can find shelter and food.

What a strange looking creature. Great shot though.
