@fueast He loves getting in photos. Hang on dad, I'll go and stand out there. Not so easy to stand still when waves are bumping. He could be a rock god one day maybe.
What a fantastic effect. From what I have been reading on here about slow shutter, I think I need to get a filter for the ocean shots. Would it work without if it was early in the am? after sunrise, but before it got too bright?
really really nice! (altho' i'm poring over the shot trying to figure out whether your model really managed to stay still for 8 seconds... it looks very much like he did!!!)
Superb layers of color and texture and a beautifully balanced composition. Just glad you didn't chose to add some inspirational saying across the bottom ;)) Fav!
@meisen325 I hope your not trying to use reverse psychology here. Maybe I should have added a quote in commentary from Nietzche in text underneath, along the lines of "there is a stranger at the door..."
Thanks for great orange sherbert line.
@peterdegraaff No, no - no reverse psyque. And no Nietzche necessary. I like the 'less is more' approach of L. Mies van der Rohe. Although the phrase was actually written much earlier by Robert Browning in a poem to the painter Andrea del Sarto. I think it was called 'I think I see sherbet clouds' (hehe).
Your photos are beautifully planned and executed. Another FAV for your son, who stood still for 8 seconds in those waves. Very cool. Love the long exposure on the waves.
