Taemas Bridge by peterdegraaff

Taemas Bridge

...over the Murrumbidgee River. The original metal bridge was destroyed by floods in 1925. The current bridge was completed in 1931 constructed with steel members rolled in Middlesborough in England.

Taken with Toyo 45CF and Nikkor-M 300mm on Fomopan b+w film. Developed in D76 (1:1) for 10 mins at 23C.

For get-pushed @eloisestapleton asked me to take a picture of some architecture in b+w. I hope this fascinating bridge fits. I love these old steel structures.

Beautiful bridge ... your further afield today Peter. Gorgeous shot! I love the painterly effect of the trees ... the film used I'm guessing ..

@gigiz left the dog on the Tuckerbox alone this time. Thinking of driving down though to get some shots of Talbingo

What caught my attention were the trees on the hill. What surprised me was that most of the trees are going at an angle. I never gave it much thought before, but I would have assumed that the trees would have , over time, straighten themselves.

In our country, that would be an old bridge :)

What a wonderful landscape shot! Love the lines of the bridge and the large curve of the hill!

Those trees are what have captured my eye - a little bit surreal looking there. Very cool.

Very nice shot. The landscape is so "clean", no scrubs.
