20-30 MPH winds are making it very difficult my my little finches to hang on to the bird feeder. Honestly, I would have thought that they would have frozen to death by now, but they just keep hanging in there!
This is an incredible shot, Sheri! Those poor little guys are getting totally blown around. Great capture! And very brave of you to go out in the frigid wind to get the shot! ...or maybe it was taken through the window? Stay warm!
@indiannie_jones@timandelke@timandelke@sherijeanne@peggysirk@roejan@pyrrhula@photobutton@isisweiss@aprilrss@aipassa@jennylee Thank you for your comments on my little finches. I definitely took the picture through a window. It was way too cold to be outside taking pictures!! There aren't enough feathers in the world to cover me to keep me warm enough to do that! lol! I just noticed this morning that the girl who babysat my children from when she was twelve years old, and now has a 13 year old of her own, has joined 365. If you want to welcome her, here's her link. She is a love of a girl, and very passionate about photography, so it will be fun to see what she comes up with. Thank you my friends. http://365project.org/kerrym/365
Dear frind Sheri. Thanks for you kind comment. Do tell you frind that 365 is a bit addictive, you met suchs nice people.
Yeserday I took 60 pic. not all that good , 15/20 will do see to nigths pic.
@pixelchix Thank you Heather. The wind has been so crazy the last few days. I'm amazed that the wind can blow a chair across the patio, but these little birds can manage to hang on to the bird feeder to eat. Crazy!!
@pyrrhula 365 is terribly addicting and time consuming! It's almost like having a job!! 60 pictures is getting up there. It's amazing how fast we can push down that button to take pictures. Have fun, and I loved the melting snow on the mushrooms picture!
@kerrym Thank you Kerry! I've been really lucky with the outcome of color with this camera. I do usually adjust the contrast just slightly to brighten the picture a little, but the color is usually pretty good.
@bluemoon Thank you Paula. I took the picture of these little Finches being pushed around by the wind in the "sports" mode on my camera. It has a really fast shutter speed, so it was able to capture their movement without too much blurring.
And we do love your pic. of them
