Scarlet Drops by pflaume

Scarlet Drops

I am so excited about this photo! In order to take it I had to venture from the automatic settings more than I ever have before. The overcast day and fresh snowfall presented a number of challenges that I had not anticipated. My first photos were dark and the colors looked terrible. Disappointed, I grabbed my photography book and steeled myself to figure out a solution. With an adjustment to ISO, WB, Exposure Compensation and using the AP setting I finally got this pic. It may not be anything special photographically but for me it represents a little victory!
envious shot! I think its great!

Beautiful shot, I love it, the wrinkles on the berries, the contrast of white and red, the snow covered greenery in the background!

Lisa. Don't be hard on yourself. This is a beautiful shot. Red berries green background and snow instantly conjures up Christmas. Great dof bringing the eye to the berries and a nice tight crop on to the subject. I think this is a terrific shot. Well done.

Am enjoying looking at your early work Lisa and being able to comment on a page where there aren't already a gazillion other comments. You are a natural born photographer. This capture especially appeals to me although I have faved quite a few others.

@jannyography Janny, thank you for visiting so many of my images today. I was thrilled to open my email and see so many fav notices roll in! Talk about an ego boost! ;) Truly, I'm really honored and delighted that you liked what you saw. That's a big reason we do what we do, right?
