Sails by pflaume

Sails

Another image from my photo workshop. These bent reeds studded the banks of a pond near the dunes. They reminded me of little sails. I experimented with the processing and chose to emphasize the bronze tones of the desert environment.

Thank you so much for your kind comments and favs for my desert shots. I am delighted that they were so well received.
Cool lines, reflections and tones!

Fabulous abstract composition. Who was your instructor? I am wondering because one of my Boise daughter's best friends is a professional photographer who does workshops etc. He is world famous. First name Chad, cannot think of his last name right now.

Beautiful abstract composition. I really like this LIsa. What was the subject of the workshop?
March 27th, 2013
@roadshow Thank you, Gloria. The workshop didn't really have a subject. We explored the dune environment together. The instructor would gather us together at times to talk about different compositions or settings as it applied to different situations or photo opportunities that presented themselves. He was there for questions, etc. as we took our own shots. It was fairly unstructured but also nice to be with a group of photographers and have the instructor available as a resource. This studio offers a day trip every month. It's nice for me because i wouldn't necessary go alone to some places or even know where to go. I am signed up for the May outing to the mountains to photograph wildflowers. So excited for that one!

Thanks so much for your comments and encouragement in this project. They are always very much appreciated!
