I often come across these Tibetan prayer flags hanging on a fence near my walking path. Whenever I see them, I am drawn to their primary colors and touched by their symbolism. The flags are inscribed with prayers for peace, compassion, love, and happiness that Tibetans believe are scattered by the winds into the world thus blessing everyone.
Beautiful image. Thank you for the description. There is a house in my neighborhood with them out front and I never knew what they were.
Love the colours and the perspective. Fav!
Love the color and dof and processing., they make me think of the people who summit Everest every May...which is coming up soon. These flags hang at base camp...I have read alot of books and seen the IMAX movie about Everest and so when I see the flags I think of it. Fav
@meagang Thank you for your comment and fav, Meagan. How fun to meet someone else in Idaho! I read that your husband is in the military. Are you in Mountain Home? Heading over to your album now...
@gozoinklings Thank you, Catherine! The flags hang on the fence of a home in my neighborhood. I have never met the owner so don't know why they are there. I assume they are either Buddhist or just like the meaning behind the flags. I have tried to photograph them a few times before but could never do them justice until now. 100 days in and I'm learning!
