Visited the county fair yesterday and had fun experimenting with long exposure shots of the lights and rides. An unexpected thunderstorm with high winds and heavy rains struck while we were there sending everyone sprinting for cover. Luckily, although intense, it was over quickly. The moody clouds in the sky are the remnants of the storm. I thought they provided a dramatic background to the glow of the ride lights.
That's fantastic Lisa - I'm amazed you got that effect with only 1 second! There's a shot in the Bryan Peterson book on understanding exposure which is very similar to this that is one of my favourites. The hoop created by the chairs really adds to this too. Fav!
Very very nice Lisa! Definitely worth a Fav! The fair we got to is a low budget traveling company. The Ferris Wheel only has two colors, yellow and green, but some of the others are more colorful!
Congrats on PP, Lisa - I can't believe with that many favs it was only on the PP briefly - but I have not figured out the PP - I often have pics that get more favs that don't show up there than ones that do. Bet this makes TT though. :-) Nicely done!
Great movement blur.
Big Fav! : )
