These little sunflowers grow wild along the sides of the road here and are always such a happy sight to me. Their season is quickly coming to an end so it was time to stop for a photo. Yellow and blue is my favorite color combination so I was delighted that the sky cooperated for this shot.
I have to tell you that all day I've been thinking it's Weds and that means B&W. Not that I did anything, but somehow your BWW is etched in my internal clock.
I really like that colour combination too and your composition and pov in this shot with the perfect positioning of the flower against the gap in the clouds.
Love the yellow and blue together and really like your conposition here. Lovely summerly pic, this reminds me that I have to go shoot some sunflowers too before their season is over.
Ah, funny...Also did have a picture of a sunflower 'headed' in the sky but the sky was so 'white' so I didn't use it. Your sky is beautiful and love the contrast with the yellow slender sunflower !
This is a good example of how you see things differently. We took a short side trip on a back road yesterday and saw millions of sunflowers lining the road. The temptation was to photograph the volume, not the one perfect one placed against the blue sky. Great seeing.
@nanalisarocks Thank you for thinking BWW, Lisa! I have to say I fell off the BWW bandwagon for most of August. My vacation threw me off. I never even registered the days of the week. I have missed it though and will get back on it for September. Join me, k?!
