This boy was an awfully cute sight at the pond this morning. I asked his father's permission for a photo which he gave, but his son looked rather perturbed with me as I snapped away. After a couple of annoyed sideways glances, I decided it was best to leave him in peace. Hopefully, the fish were biting and the morning improved after the papparaza went on her way!
I love everything about this pic .. the light, the tone, the colors, the cute subject and just the stillness, the calm and innocence in this picture ..fav!!
Oh, this is totally charming! I immediately thought of this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvXNIfGw9kc when I saw your lovely image and it brought back some happy childhood memories. Fav.
@archaeofrog@paulaw Thank you, Katie and Paula. I wish I could give him a copy! Neither of us had anything to write with. I think I need to have little cards made to just had people so that they could contact me for a copy. It doesn't come up that often because I am not yet much of a people photographer, but when it does and I am happy with the photo, it's always nice to share. What do you two do in similar situations?
I don't really, can't quite bring myself to photograph other peoples children yet because I always worry about it. Different if you can ask permission but I don't quite have the courage to do that either!!
@pflaume I shy away from people photos, so I've never had the chance, but I did make a set of mini business cards from moo.com awhile ago that I pass out when I meet other photographers (had info about my blog, bit they could contact me through that). I got a set of 100 for $5 during a sale. Here's a link to the site: http://www.moo.com/share/rx2xf8
So sweet - and a very beautiful shot!
I have asked for an e-mail address to share a couple of times but I don't always have a pen with me. If I send a pic, I do it from an e-mail address I don't use often. I don't take may people shots, unless it's street musicians and I don't always want them to have my contact info.
It's a very emotive photograph
